Hot off the e-press! We’ve just completed a new control room for one of the largest utility companies in the world! This project required a quick turnaround and our implementation team was definitely up for the challenge.
The control room consists of 12 different video walls for which we use Christie Digital to supply the video wall processors and to drive the source content for each wall. The main video wall consisted of a 5 x 2 x55" display unit which was custom built to create the contoured effect that our client requested.
We were also successful in building the custom fabricated mounting bracket system to support an 8 x 1 x 55" display system to allow a 45 degree contoured effect. We integrated all the systems and created a highly customized application program interface using Crestron Electronics to drive the entire room. This allowed for audio conferencing, several video conferencing systems, lighting control, shade treatments, multiple audio zones, and a large podium touch panel display system which gave our client the ability to control a multitude of various AV components for multiple rooms simultaneously.
Thanks to our efforts, our client has the ability to display well over 100 videos and audio sources onto the wall, using the custom Crestron Application Interface we installed to control the entire setup from one simple iPad control system.
